Pitch Perfect 2 DVD winner

Last Monday, I offered readers the chance to win a copy of PITCH PERFECT 2 on DVD from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The question posed was "Where do the Bellas visit to compete in the World Championships of Acapella?" The answer is: "Copenhagen".

There were a record-breaking (for this blog) number of entries for this competition, with 245 people e-mailing me the correct answer. I think this was down to someone posting the competition fundamentals on a money-saving forum, but there's no law against that.

However, the winner will have to be reading this post to find out if they've won. And that very lucky person, chosen using a random number generator from the correct entries received before 5PM on 18 September, is... *drum roll*...

Competition: win ARGO on Blu-ray!

With Ben Affleck's Argo having been released on Blu-ray/DVD and celebrating an Academy Award win for Best Picture, Appliances Online have offered two Blu-ray copies of the film for a competition.

'Depicting the true story of the 1980 joint CIA-Canadian secret rescue mission to extract six American diplomats held as fugitives in Iran, Argo sees Affleck return to the director's chair for his third feature. Critically acclaimed and the recipient of three Oscars and three BAFTAs, it's further proof that there's a lot more to Ben Affleck than his roles in Hollywood blockbusters Armageddon and Pearl Harbor.'

To be entered into the draw to win one of two Blu-ray copies of Argo, answer the following question:

Ben Affleck married his co-star of which movie?

(a) Kate Beckinsale in Pearl Harbor?
(b) Minnie Driver in Good Will Hunting?
(c) Jennifer Garner in Daredevil?

The movie marks the directorial debut of Dexter Fletcher (Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Kick-Ass), starring Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings), Jason Flemyng (Snatch), Jaime Winstone (Donkey Punch) and Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense)... and I have a signed piece of merchandise for you to win, courtesy of Universal Pictures.

Competition: THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSONS – Season 1 DVD

To celebrate the DVD release of the complete first season of The Almighty Johnsons on 9 April from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, I'm giving away copies of the DVD box-set to five lucky readers.

Packed with action, drama, raunchy comedy and larger-than-life fantasy, The Almighty Johnsons puts the Norse Gods right where they don’t want to be: in the bodies of a bunch of New Zealand lads with all the faults, flaws and desires of ordinary mortals.

For your chance to win, just answer this question:

The four Johnson brothers are each descended from a Norse God. But which God is represented by protagonist Axl Johnson?

a) Bragi: The God of Poetry
b) Baldr: The God of Rebirth, Light and Beauty
c) Odin: Father of the Gods
Email me your answer, remembering to put "Almighty DVD" in the subject header, and include a delivery address incase you're a winner. This competition will close on 9 April @5PM (GMT). I will select the five winners at random and inform everyone soon after.
