Here's a TV show I have high hopes for.
Vexed is a three-part comedy-drama about two detectives, Jack (
Toby Stephens) and Kate (
Lucy Punch), whose personal lives are as complicated as the crimes they have to solve (from a café opposite the police station). It comes from writer Howard Overman (
Merlin,
Misfits) and will hopefully be as funny and involving as I'm imagining already.
I'm particularly glad Toby Stephens has been cast in this, as he's an actor I enjoy seeing on-screen and can handle drama and comedy equally well. Remember his fruity-voiced, riotous Prince John in Robin Hood? Surely the highlight of that final series.
Vexed premieres on 15 August (BBC2). Anyone else interested in this show?
