Last week, I asked everyone what they thought of
Watchmen (after months of hype for Zack Snyder's adaptation and, for some, a 20+ year wait.) 24 people took the time to vote, and exactly
half voted it "
fantastic!" and 21% voted it "
enjoyable, but flawed". It was a three-way tie of 8% each for "underwhelming", "terrible" and "awful", and one person thought it was "great, but only if you've read the comic". So, a resounding thumbs up, really -- although I think it's safe to say many readers here will have been
au fait with Alan Moore's novel. Which does help. I'm hoping to see the movie this weekend, or the next -- so I'll undoubtedly add to the pile of Watchmen reviews soon-ish.
