You may remember me mentioning Copper last year, when BBC America announced it as their first instance of original programming. A TV drama set in a 19th-century New York, we now know it will star Tom Weston-Jones (Spooks) as Irish immigrant cop Kevin Corocoan, a man haunted by the death of his daughter and disappearance of his wife, who solves crimes with the help of ex-soldier friends from the Civil War; Franka Potente (Run Lola Run) as a brothel Madam Eva; Tessa Thompson (Heroes) as a doctor's wife called Sara whose brothers were lynched by Irishmen during a riot; Kyle Schmid (Blood Ties) as Robert Morehouse, a Manhattan aristocrat; They are joining the previously announced Anastasia Griffith (Damages) as the sophisticated Elizabeth Haverford.
