MONDAY 18th
PICK OF THE DAY The Ultimate Guide to Doctor Who (BBC3, 8pm) Two-hour documentary into the 50-year-old sci-fi phenomenon. Featuring Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, David Tennant, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Noel Clarke, Rick Edwards, Konnie Huq, McFly & Karen Gillan.
Fear of Flying: Caught on Camera (Channel 4, 9pm) Documentary following some people with a fear of flying.
Light & Dark (BBC4, 9pm) Documentary series revealing how scientists started to learn about the universe by manipulating light. Presented by Jim Al-Khalili. (1/2)
Gareth Bale: Welsh Galactico (ITV4, 11pm) Profile of the Welsg striker, who recently became the world's most expensive footballer when he signed for Real Madrid.

TUESDAY 19th
PICK OF THE DAY Last Tango in Halifax (BBC1, 9pm) Series 2 of the romantic drama focusing on an ageing couple. Starring Derek Jacobi & Anne Reid. (1/6)


WEDNESDAY 20th
Nigel & Adam's Farm Kitchen (BBC1, 8pm) New series where food writer Nigel Slater and Countryfile presenter Adam Henson grow and cook classic British food from a Cotswold farm. (1/4)
PICK OF THE DAY Mystery Map (ITV, 8pm) New series looking into the UK's weirdest mysteries, including ghost sightings, UFOs, Egyptian curses, etc. Presented by Julia Bradbury & Ben Shepherd. (1/2)
Timeshift: A Day at the Zoo (BBC4, 9pm) A history of the British zoo, using home video footage through the decades.
Backchat with Jack Whitehall & His Dad (BBC3, 10pm) Comedy chat show presented by comedian Jack Whitehall and his father, a renowned theatrical agent. Guests are Jeremy Paxman & Danny Dyer. (1/6)


THURSDAY 21st
Inside RAF Brize Norton (Sky1, 8pm) Documentary going behind-the-scenes of the biggest and busiest airbase in the UK.
Children of the Master Race (Channel 5, 9pm) Documentary into how the Nazis intended to create a "racially pure" generation.
PICK OF THE DAY An Adventure in Space & Time (BBC2, 9ppm) Drama looking at the birth of Doctor Who in 1963. Starring David Bradley, Brian Cox, Jessica Raine, Sacha Dhawan, Lesley Manville, Jemma Powell & Jeff Rawle.
A Young Doctor's Notebook (Sky Arts1, 9pm) Series 2 of the medical period drama based on the work of Russian author Mikhail Bulgakov. Starring Jon Hamm & Daniel Radcliffe. (1/4)
Him & Her (BBC3, 10pm) Series 4 of the domestic sitcom about a slovenly couple and their close friends and family. Starring Russell Tovey, Sarah Solemani, Ricky Champ, Kerry Howard, Camille Coduri & Joe Wilkinson. (1/5)


FRIDAY 22nd
PICK OF THE DAY Live at the Apollo (BBC1, 9.30pm) Series 9 of the stand-up comedy show. Starring Eddie Izzrd, Josh Widdicombe & Trevor Noah. (1/6)

SATURDAY 23rd
PICK OF THE DAY Doctor Who (BBC1, 7.50pm) Feature-length special on the anniversary of the longest-running sci-fi drama beginning on 23 November 1963, uniting the franchise's current star Matt Smith with immediate predecessor David Tennant. Presented in 3D where available. Co-starring John Hurt, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper, Jemma Redgrave, Joanna Page, Ingrid Oliver, Ken Bones, Peter De Jersey & Jonjo O'Neill.
Walking Through History (Channel 4, 8pm) New history show looking at historical landscapes. Presented by Tony Robinson. (1/3)
Killing Kennedy (National Geographic, 8pm) Drama based on the best-selling book Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot. Starring Rob Lowe, Ginnifer Goodwin, Michelle Trachtenberg, Will Rothaar & Jack Noseworth.
JFK: News of a Shotoing (More4, 9pm) Documentary into one of history's most shocking assassinations, created by Alastaor Layzell & George Clooney.


SUNDAY 24th
Morecambe & Wise: The Whole Story (BBC2, 9pm) Documentary into one of the UK's best-loved double acts. (1/2)
PICK OF THE DAY Doctor Who Live: The Afterparty (BBC3, 9.05pm) Celebration of the sci-fi drama's 50th anniversary. Presented by Zoe Ball & Rick Edwards.
