After two series, Charlie Brooker's satirical anthology drama BLACK MIRROR has been given a Christmas special by Channel 4. The show is usually comprised of three separate weekly tales, but the festive edition will weave three storylines into one feature-length episode.
Brooker, creator and writer:
"I always enjoy a good ghost story at Christmas, and I'm a sucker for the Amicus compendium horror movies of the '70s. Our aim is to create the Black Mirror equivalent of that."This show has been a favourite of mine since it began in 2011, so I'm excited to see what Brooker comes up with here. It's also great that the old British tradition of Christmas horror programming appears to have become the norm again, following a number of spooky shows in recent times... mainly from the pen of Mark Gatiss over on the BBC.
