Below are my picks of the most notable new shows, returning or premiering on UK screens over the next 7 days...

MONDAY 7th
The TV That Made Me (BBC1, 3.45pm) Series 2 of the show where Brian Conley invites various celebs to talk about the television shows that shaped their lives. Opening with John Thomson. (1/20)
This Farming Life (BBC2, 7pm) New series where city-dwellers change their suburban life for the rural farming.
Frontline Doctors: Winter Migrant Crisis (BBC1, 9pm) Documentary about the migration crisis in Europe, from the perspective of two doctors on a beach in Lesbos.
Vet on the Hill (More4, 9pm) New documentary series about Australian vet Scott Miller, who runs a surgery in Richmond Hill, south-west London. (1/10)
The Last Man on Earth (Dave, 11pm) Season 2 of the U.S comedy resumes. (11/18)

TUESDAY 8th
The Aliens (E4, 9pm) New sci-fi drama set 40-years after aliens crashed on Earth and now in segregation in a ghetto called Troy. Starring Michael Socha, Jim Howick, Vivienne Achaempong, Ashley Walters & Bronson Webb. (1/6)


WEDNESDAY 9th
Shop Well... For Less? (BBC1, 8pm) New series where Alex Jones and Steph McGovern try to help families alter their shopping habits without sacrificing quality. (1/2)
Humble Pie (W, 8pm) New culinary challenge series. Hosted by Melanie Sykes, with judge Marco Pierre White. (1/8)
Famous, Rich & Homeless (BBC1, 9pm) Two-part documentary series where four celebrities live on the street for Sport Relief: Nick Hancock, Julia Bradbury, Jim Woodburn & Willie Thorne. (1/2)
Dunblane: Our Story (BBC2, 9pm) Documentary to mark the 20th anniversary of the tragic shooting in the Scottish town, which resulted in 16 pupils and their teacher.

THURSDAY 10th
The Secret History of My Family (BBC2, 8pm) New documentary series following four family trees back 200-years. (1/4)
Trauma Doctors (Channel 5, 9pm) Documentary series following medical specialists. (1/6)

FRIDAY 11th
Bosch (Amazon Prime) Season 2of the crime drama, starring Titus Welliver.


SATURDAY 12th

SUNDAY 13th
Houdini & Doyle (ITV & ITV Encore, 10.15pm) New historical murder-mystery series about author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and illusionist Harry Houdini solving crimes together. Starring Stephen Mangan, Michael Weston, Rebecca Liddiard, Adam Nagaitis, Tim McInnery & Adelayo Adedayo. (1/10)
