Tin Man

Tin Man is a re-imagining of author L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz, updated by writers Craig W. Van Sickle and Steven Long Mitchell (The Pretender). It's about a Kansas waitress called D.G (Zooey Deschanel), who finds herself transported to an alternate dimension known as "The Outer Zone".

Neal McDonough stars as Cain (the Tin Man of the title), Alan Cumming is the brainless Glitch, Raul Trujillo is a hairy telepath called Raw, Kathleen Robertson plays the wicked Azkadellia and Richard Dreyfuss is the powerful Mystic Man.

I really enjoyed last year's Sci-Fi Channel mini-series The Lost Room, so my hopes are high for this new show, which airs in the US this December. I'd expect a January 2008 transmission on Sky One for UK viewers, if it follows The Lost Room's scheduling.
