My apologies for the delay with this weekend's dancing recap, but I was very busy and have only just had time to catch-up myself...
So it's Week 9 and the prolonging of this year's inevitable crowning of Alesha as best celebrity dancer continues. I was also very sad to hear about the death of Kelly Brook's dad last week, meaning she was in no state of mind to participate in Week 9 of the competition. I hope she'll be back for Week 10, if only to provide some semblance of competition for Alesha...
All the celebs did two dances this week, too. It was either that, or have Brucie try and pad the show out more than usual -- which wouldn't be a pretty sight, believe me...
Camilla Dallerup
Dance 1: Classy long pink dress with her hair up; very poised and elegant, but hardly a head-turner. Camilla has been one of the more disappointing dancing professionals this series.
Dance 2: Hair down, much sexier and faster salsa, with a great frilly dress and showing off every inch of those stick-like legs. Quite a freaky amount of energy.
Flavia CacaceDance 1: A long purple dress and the patented slick-wet hairstyle, dancing to a bad rendition of Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For?", which failed to stir much emotion in me.
Dance 2: Much better, although the realization that Flavia acts very much like Katie Price/Jordan in interviews has put me off her slightly now. But, some nice flashes of leg along the way.
Alesha Dixon
Dance 1: A strange gold/red dress that didn't really suit her, but with the odd glimpse of those fabulous legs to compensate. But still very disappointing.
Dance 2: Wow! Amazing silver dress with frilly skirt and a whole lot of leg! She just sells every dance incredibly well and doesn't really look like an amateur. Gorgeous.
Ola JordanDance 1: Gorgeous new look to Ola this week, with a tight black dress and tiny skirt, doing her best to deliver the sex-factor. Beautiful.Dance 2: A long yellowy dress for this foxtrot, which didn't offer any Ola fans much to lust after, but she still looked very pretty.
Leticia DeanDance 1: A very busty black/white dress that showed off some leg, even though Leticia's legs don't seem to match her body. And I still can't get past her kooky face-pulling.
Dance 2: A hideous purple dress with long floaty arm bits that hid whatever assets any Leticia fans think she has. Awful.So after a dance-off between Ola and Leticia... those silly judges denied us more sex-kitten Ola on the show, and instead give us at least another week of frumpy Leticia! Boo!
My leaderboard ratings use the average score of the 2 dances in Week 9, and affect things thus:

2.- Kelly Brook -- 51
2- Ola Jordan --51
3. Flavia Cacace -- 45
4. Camilla Dallerup --44
5. Leticia Dean -- 34
Kelly was unfortunately disadvantaged this week, but is only slightly behind in my overall ratings, so she still stands a chance of taking the top spot again...
