In the US: Roland Emmerich's prehistoric action-fest 10,000 B.C bags #1, another Martin Lawrence comedy (where he helps his fussy daughter find the "perfect college"!) is in at #2, and British crime caper The Bank Job debuts at a very impressive #4 -- proving star Jason Statham has increasing clout with American audiences.

In the UK: Rashamon-style thriller Vantage Point is straight in at #1, The Other Boleyn Girl shrugs off mixed reviews to take #2, The Rock proves he has the star-power to ensure The Game Plan takes #3, and Semi-Pro takes a gigantic tumble from #2 to #9.
