Box Office Charts: w/e 11 April 2008

Friday, 11 April 2008
In the US: 21, the true-life gambling hustle movie, does well to hang on at #1... family adventure Nim's Island (about a girl living on an isolated island with her family) debuts at #2... George Clooney sports movie Leatherheads disappoints at #3... and horror film The Ruins -- about teens releasing evil (what else?) during a holiday in Mexico -- bows in at #5...

In the UK: Son Of Rambow debuts at #2, kept off the top-spot by rom-com 27 Dresses... dumb martial arts flick Never Back Down woos a sizeable audience, to take #4... horrors Awake and One Missed Call both do very poorly, in at #7 and #8 respectively... but both fare better than Funny Games, which doesn't even make the top 10...
