Wayne's World! Wayne's World! Party Time! Excellent!

A nice treat for Wayne's World fans out there: Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reprising their characters for the MTV Movie Awards 2008, presenting a "top 10 list of porno names based on hit movies of 2008". Funny; although recycling the "Garth got pubes" gag was a bit poor.

Has it really been 14 years since Wayne's World 2? God. Since then Myers hit the big time with the Austin Powers films, but Carvey faded into obscurity -- and 2002 turkey The Master Of Disguise finished his career, it seems. I'm sure he'd be up for a Wayne's World 3. But would Myers?

Well, if The Love Guru flops this summer, Myers can always fall back on Shrek 4 and Austin Powers 4 to keep his bank manager happy... but is this MTV sketch testing the water about a third Wayne's World film? Wayne and Garth in the age of Guitar Hero? Is there an audience for that? I happen to think both Wayne's World films are pretty funny and have stood the test of time. They're certainly the best of the Saturday Night Live spin-offs, I feel.

I'd like to see another... wouldn't you?
