My pick of the best, new television shows hitting British screens this week -- including a few terrestrial premieres worth noting:

MONDAY 3rd
Armistice (BBC4, 9pm) Feature-length documentary showing WWI from Germany's perspective.

TUESDAY 4th
Most Haunted (LivingTV, 9pm) Yvette Fielding returns for more paranormal investigations with her ghost-hunting team.

WEDNESDAY 5th
The Inbetweeners (Channel 4, 11.05pm) Terrestrial airing of the E4 sitcom about four teens growing up in suburbia.

THURSDAY 6th
Fonejacker (Channel 4, 11.10pm) Terrestrial airing of E4's BAFTA-winning prank phone call series from Kayvan Novak.

FRIDAY 7th
Mouth To Mouth (BBC3, 9.30pm) Comedy-drama about a girl group called Cat's Eyes.
Lee Mack Live (Channel 4, 10.50pm) Stand-up comedy from the northern comic.

SATURDAY 8th
Comedy Connections (BBC2, 9.45pm) A tribute to writer, performer and producer Geoffrey Perkins, who died recently this year and helped bring hits like The Fast Show and Father Ted to British screens.
Masters Of Horror (LivingTV, 10pm) Anthology horror series, where each episode is created by a renowned horror film director.

SUNDAY 9th
Walter's War (BBC4, 9pm) WWI drama about the first black officer to lead British troops. Stars O-T Fagbenle, Ewan Stewart, Samara MacLaren, Michael Wildman & Dugald Bruce-Lockhart.
