John Glover is joining the cast of Heroes as Sylar's father. He will be introduced towards the end of season 3's fourth volume, next summer. I doubt this role will be a stretch for the actor, who has already played a villain's father in another superhero drama, Smallville.Steve Coogan is producing a new sci-fi drama for the BBC called Brave Young Men. In the series, school caretaker Owen Malloy (Star Stories' Tom Basden) becomes the world's protector after meeting a civil servant from the future.
2009's Golden Globe nominations have been announced. My highlights of the movie noms: "Curious Case Of Benjamin Button" for Best Film, Danny Boyle for Best Director ("Slumdog Millionaire"), Mickey Rourke for Best Actor ("The Wrestler"), Angelina Jolie for Best Actress ("The Changeling"), and Heath Ledger received a posthumous nomination for Best Supporting Actor ("The Dark Knight"). My highlights of the TV noms: Dexter, Mad Men and True Blood all up for Best TV Drama, Michael C. Hall ("Dexter") and Jon Hamm ("Mad Men") for Best Actor, Kiefer Sutherland ("24: Redemption") for Best Actor in a Mini-Series/TVM, while Anna Paquin ("True Blood") and January Jones ("Mad Men") are nominated for Best Drama Actress.
