Last week I asked my faithful readership to vote for the TV show they're most enjoying right now (as opposed to "favourite" or "best", which is a slightly different matter.) A massive 91 people registered their vote (making it the most popular poll so far), so thanks if you were only of those people. Maybe we can break 100 next time? The results, in reverse order, were as follows:
10. Free Agents (1.1%): only 1 vote, possibly because only 1 episode had aired when the poll opened. Not surprising.
9. Life On Mars (2.2%): only 2 votes for this very flawed remake. Oh dear.
8. Mad Men (3.3%): a very surprising lack of votes, possibly because it's only currently on air in the UK, or that it's undoubtedly superb but not a show people actually enjoy watching to an obsessive degree?
7. A three-way tie with 4.4% of the vote for seventh place. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles enjoyed a late spurt to eventually level with Damages (a series that's oddly overlooked in the UK, especially) and 24 (which was actually rock-bottom for most of the week, and would surely have been in the top 3 just two years ago...)
6. A two-way tie with 5.49% of the vote for sixth place. Dollhouse did very well to get what few votes it got (considering only the poor pilot had aired when the poll started), or maybe this was just Whedonites supporting his work? Either way, it ended up equallig the total votes for Fringe (which surely deserved more votes! The last batch of episodes have been great fun.)
5. Heroes (6.59%). It's gone downhill since season 1, but the superhero drama is still must-see stuff for many. If only to see how bad it can get? Or in the hope the constant assurances of a revamp will come true? Well, it still has a base-level appeal.
4. Pushing Daisies (8.79%). This did very well to be runner-up, as I've been disappointed with season 2 so far. But, people still enjoy it...
3. A tie for joint-third place. Flight Of The Conchords (10.99%): a lot of people voted this the most enjoyable TV show every week, as did fans of BBC Three's excellent Being Human (that jostled for second place over a few days.)
2. Lost (15.38%): Not unexpectedly, it was top of the poll for nearly the entire week, but it was edged out in the last day by...
1. Battlestar Galactica (16.48%): A combination of final season fervor and big answers being revealed lately made BSG your most enjoyable show. Congrats!
