HOTLIGHT: Elisha Cuthbert

Friday 17 April 2009

ELISHA CUTHBERT has been chosen by the hotlight this week, to celebrate her guest-starring return to the series that made her name, 24. After starring as Jack Bauer's daughter Kim in three seasons of the award-winning thriller (where she once famously confronted a cougar), Elisha left the show to pursue a film career. Supporting roles in comedies like Old School and Love Actually followed, before a more successful performance as the object of affection in The Girl Next Door (playing a smitten teenager's sexy neighbour, who turns out to be a pornstar.)

After that promising step up, Elisha unfortunately fell headfirst into the Hollywood swamp of sexy fodder for a screen villains; first in House Of Wax alongside Paris Hilton, then in the execrable Captivity. Some semblance of quality return when she starred alongside Christian Slater in 2007's He Was A Quiet Man, and Elisha's now lined up a return to TV with the remake of British series Ny-Lon. She will also soon be seen in Tim Allen comedy The Six Wives Of Henry Lefay (as a daughter having to arrange her dead father's funeral, attended by his six ex-wives.)
