Pick Of The Week: "Hell's Kitchen" -- ITV1, Mon @ 9pm

My selection of the best new television airing in the UK this week...

MONDAY 13th
  • Hell's Kitchen (ITV1, 9pm) New series of the celebrity cooking series, starring Marco Pierre White and hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
TUESDAY 14th
  • The Speaker (BBC2, 8pm) A group of teenagers learn how to public speak, in an eight-part series.
WEDNESDAY 15th
  • Nothing much.
THURSDAY 16th
  • Kirstie's Homemade Home (Channel 4, 8pm) Kirstie Allsopp transforms a Devonshire cottage. Part 1 of 5.
  • Testees (FX, 10pm) Canadian/US comedy about friends who work as human test subjects.
  • The Narnia Code (BBC1, 10.35pm) Documentary investigating claims of a secret code hidden inside C.S Lewis' Narnia saga.
FRIDAY 17th
  • NCIS (FX, 9pm) Season 6 of the US drama.
SATURDAY 18th
  • Winging It (BBC2, 12.45pm) Improv comedy for teens.
  • Tonight's The Night (BBC1, 6.55pm) John Barrowman hosts this entertainment series with performances from stars of stage and screen, while making people's dreams come true. Features Katherine Jenkins, McFly and Hairspray.
SUNDAY 19th
  • Beat The Star (ITV1, 6.45pm) Vernon Kaye returns to host this competition, where each week a member of the public competes against a celebrity in a series of challenges. Austin Healey stars in this opener.
  • Guiness World Records Smashed (Sky1, 7pm) Entertainment series presented by Steve Jones & Konnie Huq.
  • Louis Theroux: A Place For Paedophiles (BBC2, 9pm) Louis returns to investigate the Coalinga Mental Hospital in California, home to 500 convicted paedophiles.
  • Family Guy (BBC3, 10pm) New season of the US animation.
