Pick of the Week: "Dollhouse" -- Sci-Fi, Tue @9pm

My personal selection of the best television premiering this week in the UK:

MONDAY 18th
  • Moving On (BBC1, 2.15pm) First of five one-off drama's airing every afternoon this week: The Rain Has Stopped, Bully, Drowning Not Waving, Dress To Impress and Butterfly Effect.
  • Divided (ITV1, 5pm) Gameshow presented by Andrew Castle.
  • NCIS (FX, 8pm) US drama about military police.
  • 1066: The Battle For Middle Earth (Channel 4, 9pm) Two-part drama about the Norman Conquest.

TUESDAY 19th
  • Dollhouse (Sci-Fi, 9pm) US sci-fi drama from Joss Whedon (Buffy/Angel) about a secret organization that can imprint memories and skills onto "dolls" for various missions and assignments. Stars Eliza Dushku, Tahmoh Penikett, Olivia Williams & Harry J. Lennix. Follow along with my season 1 reviews here.
  • Make 'Em Laugh (BBC4, 10.30pm) Six-part series about US comedy.

WEDNESDAY 20th
  • Feasts (BBC4, 9pm) Three-part documentary about feasts and festival around the world.

THURSDAY 21st
  • The Real Hustle On Holiday (BBC3, 10.30pm) The con artists focus on holidaymakers.
  • American Dad (FX, 10.30pm) US animated satire.

FRIDAY 22nd
  • Law & Order: Criminal Intent (Five, 10pm) US crime drama.

SATURDAY 23rd
  • Nothing.

SUNDAY 24th
  • Ditto.
