The BBC press release is up, now that filming has started on Doctor Who, featuring the above photo of The Doctor (Matt Smith) with companion Amy Pond (Karen Gillan). Interestingly, the new Doctor's attire is at odds with Smith's young age -- the brown tweed and bow-tie of an old-fashioned, eccentric school professor. Thoughts, anyone?Update: below are some candid photos of Smith and Gillan filming on location with the new TARDIS. It's much bluer and the windows are now framed a vibrant white. I'm not sure I like it, actually, but it's ultimately a small issue and I'm sure it'll grow on me.
