Flash Forward on Five

Thursday, 23 July 2009
Five have outbid Sky to win the UK rights to ABC's Flash Forward, described as a successor to Lost. Payback for Sky snatching House off them this year? Five will now premiere the sci-fi series about a global event where everyone blacks out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, during which time they see their lives six months in the future. Repeats will be shown on Five's sister channel Fiver.

Jeff Ford, Managing Director of Digital Channels & Acquisitions at Five:

"I am delighted we will be the UK broadcaster of this gripping new series. When we saw the pilot at the L.A Screenings this year, we knew it would be perfect for our channels and make a fantastic addition to our autumn lineup."
Flash Forward will premiere in the US on 24 September.
