The Camera & Mad Men
Tuesday, August 11, 2009 Labels: Internet Of Interest, Mad Men
Excellent six-minute piece about the cinematography and camera movement in AMC's brilliant Mad Men. A very enlightening study that further demonsrates the wonderful care and attention that goes into this superb series. Mad Men returns for its third season on 16 August, but I'm going to refrain from reviewing it at the US rate, again. Instead, I'll impose abstinence on myself until BBC Four/HD show it next year (most likely February). It's a tough call, but I've come to enjoy snuggling up to watch Sterling Cooper's offices in winter. It doesn't feel like a summer show to me, somehow.
