HBO have a new comedy-drama on the horizon, starring Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited) as Jonathan Ames (a fictional version of Bored To Death's actual creator), a struggling writer who advertises his services as a detective to pass the time...
The show co-stars Ted Danson (Cheers, Damages) as Jonathan's magazine editor, and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) as his comic-book illustrator best friend. Guest stars announced include Patton Oswalt, Parker Posey, Kristen Wiig and Olivia Thirlby, while one of the serving directors is Paul Feig (co-creator of Freaks & Geeks). Suffice to say, with a pedigree like that, this quirky film noir will be worth checking out when it premieres on 20 September. Take a look at the trailer above and tell me what you think. I'm picking up a slight Wes Anderson influence, which I'm happy about.
