It's the middle of September, so the new stuff's coming thick n' fast! Here are my picks of the best British TV has to offer over the next seven days:
MONDAY 14th
Live From Studio Five (Five, 6.30pm) New week-daily magazine series hosted by Ian Wright, Melinda Messenger and Apprentice runner-up Kate Walsh.Dispatched: Middle Class & Jobless (Channel 4, 8pm) The current affairs show looks at how the recession has hit the middle-classes.
Masterchef: The Professionals (BBC2, 8.30pm) Culinary gameshow.
Design For Life (BBC2, 9pm) 12 designers compete to join a Parisian design school setup by Philippe Starck.
Daredevils: The Human Bird (Channel 4, 9pm) Series exploring what compels some people to perform death-defying feats.
Home Time (BBC2/BBC HD, 10pm) Comedy about a 29-year-old woman who returns to her family home in Coventry 12 years after leaving. Stars Marian McLoughlin, Emma Fryer, Philip Jackson & Hayley Jane Standing.
TUESDAY 15th
Tweed (BBC4, 9pm) Series examining textile baron Brian Haggas.Later Live... with Jools Holland (BBC2, 10pm) Music show with live performances from Muse, Florence & The Machine, Lyle Lovett and The Gossip.
True Stories: Cat Dancers (More4, 10pm) Documentary about entertainers Ron and Joy Holiday who had an act featuring tigers, leopards and jaguars.
How Not To Live Your Life (BBC3, 10.30pm) Sitcom about a twentysomething man with bad luck. Stars Dan Clark, David Armand, Laura Haddock & Leila Hoffman
WEDNESDAY 16th
Project Runway (Sky1, 8pm) Heidi Klum and Marie Claire go on another search for new US designers.The Secret Millionaire (Channel 4, 9pm) Return of the series where millionaires go undercover amongst deprived communities.
Farmer Wants A Wife (Five, 9pm) Louise Redknapp hosts this show, which aims to find a farmer the perfect partner.
Dragons' Den Online (BBC2, 9.30pm) The internet-based spin-off to Dragons' Den, with a new panel of dragons, gets a TV airing.
THURSDAY 17th
Justin Lee Collins (Sky1, 10pm) Series where the presenter tries to master various professions, starting with ten pin bowling.FRIDAY 18th
Strictly Come Dancing (BBC1/BBC HD, 8.30pm) Return of the celebrity dance show, now in its seventh series. Celebs include Joe Calzaghe, Lynda Bellingham, Martina Hingis, Ricky Groves, Jade Johnson, Ali Bastian, Chris Hollins and Ray Wilding. Continues tomorrow.Peep Show (Channel 4, 10pm) Series 6 of the award-winning comedy. Stars David Mitchell and Robert Webb.
SATURDAY 19th
Merlin (BBC1, 6.40pm) Series 2 of the fantasy drama about a young Merlin living in Camelot as Prince Arthur's aide.In Harm's Way (Virgin1, 7pm) Series about people with occupations that put them in danger.

All Star Family Fortunes (ITV1, 7pm) Return of the celebrity gameshow, beginning with Hollyoaks vs. Heartbeat.Celebrity Come Dine With Me (Channel 4, 8pm) New celeb edition of the culinary reality series, with Laila Morse, Bobby Davro, Dane Bowers & Dani Behr.
Balmoral (BBC4, 9pm) Series looking at the Queen's Scottish holiday home, featuring unseen royal footage.
Doc Martin (ITV1, 9pm) Return of the popular medical drama about a curmudgeonly GP living in a Cornish village.
Kevin McCloud's Grand Tour Of Europe (Channel 4, 9pm) The Grand Designs host takes viewers on a tour of the continent's best architects and buildings.
Trinity (ITV2, 10pm) New drama set in Trinity College at fictional Bridgeforth University. Stars Charles Dance & Claire Skinner.
