Pick of the Week: "Dollhouse" – Sci-Fi Channel, Tue @10pm

A fairly decent week for new shows, all things considered. Here are my picks of the best British TV has to offer over the next seven days:

MONDAY 19th
Murderland (ITV1, 9pm) Three-part crime drama about a woman investigating the cause of her mother's death. Stars Robbie Coltrane.

TUESDAY 20th
7 Days On The Breadline (ITV1, 9pm) Three-part series where celebrities live with poor families. Stars Mel B, Austin Healey, Trinny Woodall and Keith Allen.
Dollhouse (Sci-Fi Channel, 10pm) Season 2 of the US sci-fi drama. Stars Eliza Dushku, Dichen Lachman, Tahmoh Penikett & Harry Lennix.

WEDNESDAY 21st
Jimmy's Food Factory (BBC1, 7.30pm) Farmer Jimmy Doherty investigates supermarket food.
Defying Gravity (BBC2, 9pm) Sci-fi drama where eight astronauts embark on a six-year journey to Venus. Double-bill.

THURSDAY 22nd
Russell Howard's Good News (BBC3, 10.30pm) Topical news show hosted by Mock The Week's Russell Howard. An extended edition airs on Saturday @9.10pm

FRIDAY 23rd
NCIS: Los Angeles (Sky1, 9pm) US drama spin-off. Stars Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J.

SATURDAY 24th
The Thick Of It (BBC2, 10.10pm) Series 3 of the award-winning political comedy from Armando Iannucci. Stars Peter Capaldi, Rebecca Front & Chris Addison.

SUNDAY 25th
Ray Mears' Northern Wilderness (BBC2, 8pm) Survivalist adventure series.
Most Haunted Live - Halloween 2009 (Living, 8pm) Series of live ghost-hunting specials in the runup to Halloween.
American Dad (BBC3, 10.35pm) Season 3 of the animated satire.
