FlashForward is now on mid-season hiatus, and ABC have announced that the series won't be back in January (as expected), but will actually be off-air for three months until 4 March. The reason given is that this will allow the show to air its remaining 14 episodes without any frustrating breaks, while also avoiding February's Winter Olympics.
I dare say it will also give the writers the opportunity to sit down and work out how to win back lost audiences, as FlashForward has been hemorrhaging viewers since it started. It will also be interesting to see how this affects the built-in climax of 29 April, as the series will now broadcast an additional 5 episodes past that date. Will they perhaps air some double-bills towards the end?
