The British Family: Our History (BBC2, 9pm) Four-part series looking at how the British royal family have altered since WWI. Presented by Kirsty Young.
Law & Order: UK (ITV1, 9pm) Series 2 of the British spinoff to the longrunning US cop/legal drama.
Paul Merton In Europe (Five, 9pm) The comedian travels around Europe, beginning in Germany.

Survivors (BBC1, 9pm) Series 2 of the post-apocalyptic drama.

CSI (Five, 9pm) Season 10 of the hit US crime procedural.
The Girl Who Cries Blood (Channel 4, 10.10pm) "Bodyshock" special about a 13-year-old girl who has been crying tears of blood for the past two years.
Coming Of Age (BBC3, 10.30pm) Series 2 of the teen comedy.
The Man Who Can't Stop Hiccupping (BBC1, 10.35pm)Documentary about a 25-year-old who has been hiccuping nonstop for two years.

WEDNESDAY 13th
American Idol (ITV2, 7.30pm) New series of the US singing competition. Featuring Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi & Ellen DeGeneres. Continued on Thursday.
NCIS (Five, 9pm) Season 6 of the US military crime drama.
The Man Who Shot the Sixties (BBC4, 9pm) Documentary on photographer Brian Duffy, whose work helped defined the image of the 1960s.
Numb3rs (Five, 9pm) Season 6 of the maths-based crime drama.
The Persuasionists (BBC2, 10pm) New sitcom set in an advertizing agency. Stars Daisy Haggard, Iain Lee & Lee Ross.
Who Wants To Be A Millioniare - Indian Special (Channel 4, 11.30pm) Indian edition of the popular general knowledge quiz from Valentine's Day 2007, shown as part of Channel 4's Indian Winter season.

Stag Weekends: The Dirty Secrets (BBC3, 9pm) Reporter Simon Boazman goes undercover to break into a sex trafficking ring.
The Secret Life of Chaos (BBC4, 9pm) Professor Jim Al-Khalili shows how chaos theory can explain how a universe can eventually create intelligent beings.
