MONDAY 4th
The Lakes (ITV1, 8pm) Rory McGrath travels to the Lake District to investigate how the residents of the scenic tourist destination go about their days.
Only Connect (BBC3, 8.30pm) Quiz show presented by Victoria Coren.
Dear Diary (BBC4, 9pm) Richard E. Grant compares the public and private lives of various famous people, by looking into their diaries.
Hustle (BBC1, 9pm) New series of the drama about conmen. Stars Adrian Lester, Robert Glenister, Matt Di Angelo, Kelly Adams & Robert Vaughan.
Nurse Jackie (BBC2, 10pm) Black medical comedy-drama about a maverick hospital nurse. Stars Edie Falco. Continues every night.
Kill It, Cook It, Eat It: Fast Food (BBC3, 10.30pm) Julia Bradbury returns to show youngsters exactly what goes into making fast food such as kebabs and economy sausages.

TUESDAY 5th
The Krypton Factor (ITV1, 7.30pm) Return of the mental/physical challenge gameshow.
The Hairy Bikers: Mum Knows Best (BBC2, 8pm) The motorbiking chefs return for a campaign to get people to share their old family recipes.
Ice Road Truckers (Five, 8pm) Series following the treacherous "dash for cash" across Alaska's Dalton Highway, a 414-mile stretch of ice that truckers are paid big money to cross with goods.
Send In The Dogs (ITV1, 8pm) Series detailing the work of police dogs and their handlers.
90210 (E4, 9pm) Revival of the '90s teen-soap. Stars Shenae Grimes, Rob Estes, Tristan Wilds, AnnaLynne McCord, Dustin Milligan & Ryan Eggold.
History Of Now: The Story Of The Noughties (BBC2, 9pm) A review of contemporary times. Continues Thursday and Friday.
Lost Kingdoms Of Africa (BBC4, 9pm) Historian and art expert Gus Casely-Hayford travels through various parts of modern-day Africa, discovering the remnants of its pre-colonial history.
True Stories: The Trials Of Amanda Knox (More4, 10pm) Documentary about the trial of Amanda Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who were charged with murdering her British housemate.
Hannah: The Girl Who Said No To A Heart (BBC1, 10.35pm) Documentary about a 13-year-old girl who refused to have a heart transplant to save her life.

WEDNESDAY 6th
Fat Families (Sky1, 8pm) Weight-loss expert Steve Millers tries to help various obese families.
Natural World (BBC2, 8pm) Wildlife series. This first episode focuses on Birds Of Paradise living in New Guinea.
Horizon: The Secret Life Of The Dog (BBC2, 9pm) Six-part series of the science programme, here looking at the fascinating emotional complexity of canines.
The Pharoah Who Conquered The Sea (BBC3, 9pm) Documentary about the theory that an Egyptian pharoah called Hatshepsut travelled to the fabled land of Punt.

THURSDAY 7th
Jimmy's Global Harvest (BBC2, 8pm) The young farmer travels to Brazil in the first of a six-part series looking into foreign farming techniques.
Silent Witness (BBC1, 9pm) New ten-part crime drama. Continues tomorrow.
Sun, Sex & Holiday Madness (BBC3, 9pm) Radio 1's Greg James travels to Magaluf to witness the dark side of British boozing abroad.
Diet: A Horizon Guide (BBC4, 9pm) Documentary about the perceived problems of modern-day cuisine and eating habits.
The Big Bang Theory (E4, 9pm) New season of the geek comedy about a gang of nerds who live across the hall from a beautiful girl.
Bill Bailey's Birdwatching Bonanza (Sky1, 9pm) Birdwatching series where two teams of celebs (here, Alex Zane and Kara Tointon vs. Jeff Green and Joe Swash) are set various ornithological challenges by comedian Bill Bailey.
