Fringe benefits from a third season

Saturday, 6 March 2010

Fox have renewed Fringe for a third season, despite the fact its ratings have slipped in season 2. It now averages 7.6m per episode, whereas season 1 was generally attracting 9m. I guess it hasn't helped that season 2 has been put on hiatus twice (before Christmas, before the Olympics) to interrupt its flow, and the series was moved to a competitive Thursday night timeslot. Fringe resumes its season on 1 April on Fox. Here in the UK, fresh episodes start this Tuesday on Sky1 (not including last week's broadcast of the unaired "Unearthed".)

Anyway, are you glad it's coming back for thirds?
