As is tradition, I didn't watch the Oscars live because it's (a) on at some ridiculously late/early hour here in the UK and (b) it's only available on Sky Movies, which I don't subscribe to. But, here is the full list of winners. My immediate response: it panned out pretty much as I guessed it would, although I thought Avatar would cause an upset by winning Best Picture over The Hurt Locker, more as a reward for its financial success than anything else. But it was fantastic to see Kathryn Bigelow become the first ever female winner of Best Director. Also, I found it a bit strange that Avatar won for Best Cinematography, as you don't really "photograph" CGI landscapes. I guess we'll have to broaden our definition of that term now.
Regarding my official Oscars predictions for VoucherCodes, I got 12 out of 16 predictions correct, giving me a final score of 9. I doubt that's enough to win their £250 prize, but it ain't bad.
