Here's a TV show I have high hopes for. Vexed is a three-part comedy-drama about two detectives, Jack (Toby Stephens) and Kate (Lucy Punch), whose personal lives are as complicated as the crimes they have to solve (from a café opposite the police station). It comes from writer Howard Overman (Merlin, Misfits) and will hopefully be as funny and involving as I'm imagining already.
I'm particularly glad Toby Stephens has been cast in this, as he's an actor I enjoy seeing on-screen and can handle drama and comedy equally well. Remember his fruity-voiced, riotous Prince John in Robin Hood? Surely the highlight of that final series.
Vexed premieres on 15 August (BBC2). Anyone else interested in this show?
