Here's a piece of casting news to send fanboys into meltdown. V's showrunner Scott Rosenbaum has confirmed that we'll be meeting the mother of Anna (Morena Baccarin) in season 2, and she'll be played by original V femme fatale Jane Badler (who will actually be reprising her role as Diana from the '80s series!) Of course, the current series of V isn't a sequel to the '80s show, so I'm assuming this incarnation of Diana won't be referencing previous events. It's simply using the same character and actress again, 27 years later.
Rosenbaum, talking to TV Guide:
"I'm very excited. As I said [at] Comic Con, the role would go to the best actor. Jane's audition was great and I'm thrilled to bring her on board."
