Bravo's 'Hawaii Five-0' October launch deferred to Sky

Tuesday, 28 September 2010

Bravo's UK premiere of the Hawaii Five-0 remake (scheduled to debut on 14 October), has been cancelled because the channel was recently bought by Sky, who are closing it down by the end of the year. Instead, Hawaii Five-0 will arrive on Sky1 a Sky-owned channel at a later date. I'm not sure if this means Sky will debut it while Bravo still exists, or if Sky have to wait until Bravo's defunct, for contractual reasons. But one thing's clear: if you're British and have been waiting for 14 October to see Alex O'Loughlin and Grace Park in Hawaii, you're going to have to wait longer. On the positive side: it's more than likely British audiences will perhaps get to see Hawaii Five-0 in high-definition, either on Sky1 HD or Living HD.
