Channel 4 recommission FRESH MEAT and BEAVER FALLS

Tuesday, 25 October 2011

After successful debuts this year, Channel 4 have greenlit second series' of their student comedy-drama Fresh Meat (expected late-2012) and E4's summer camp comedy Beaver Falls (due summer 2012). This is no surprise because both shows did well, but now you have it in official writing.

Camilla Campbell, Channel 4 Head of Drama:

"I am delighted that our strong series output has been recognised with a double recommission. Our series continue to reach the heart of the 16-34 audience, and consistently bring loyal viewers to Channel 4 and E4."
I'm especially glad Fresh Meat will be coming back next year, although I'm not sure what Beaver Falls has left to say—even if they refresh some of the cast. The three British characters appeared to go through their predestined coming-of-age path, so what could they do for a second series? Or will we follow a different trio working overseas?
