The cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation were reunited on-stage for the Calgary Expo in Canada recently: Patrick Stewart (Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Riker), Brent Spiner (Data), LeVar Burton (Geordie), Michael Dorn (Worf), Will Wheaton (Wesley), Gates McFadden (Crusher), Marina Sirtis (Troi) and Denise Crosby (Yar), with a surprise appearance by a fan-favourite.
I'm sure you've seen these kind of convention-style candid videos before. It's an hour of lighthearted banter and chit-chat, plus whooping from the audience. The audio-visual quality's good, so that's a relief. Plus it's obvious that the TNG cast members are all genuinely good friends and don't begrudge their continuing association with the show, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Are you going to buy that sexy new Blu-ray?
Another, enough blather, here's the five-part video. Note the excruciating lack of input from Denise Crosby in her red bobble hat. Although it must be tricky for cast members who weren't along for the whole ride.
