Jack Thorne (Skins, This is England, The Fades) has a new six-part drama coming to E4 this autumn, called GLUE. It concerns a small village in the English countryside, where farming and race horses are the lifeblood of the local community, and the unsettling discovery of a dead teenager under the wheels of a tractor.
Not that you'd know any of that from the promo embedded above which, like so many UK shows, is presented as something to establish tone and mood. Is it enough to pique your interested in a show that, on the surface of it, sounds like Skins meets Broadchurch?
Glue stars Yasmin Paige (Submarine), Jordan Stephens (of Rizzle Kicks), Callum Turner (Leaving), Charlotte Spencer (Line of Duty), Faye Marsay (Fresh Meat), Jessie Cave (Harry Potter), Jonny Owen (Shameless), Kierston Wareing (EastEnders) & Steve Oram (Sightseers).
