Here are a few more brand new and returning US TV shows that will air in the 08/09 TV season on NBC, which I like the sound of:
Chuck
NBC, Mondays 8pm
Return of the comedy-drama about an amiable geek who has the US government's secrets downloaded into his brain, and consequently has to lead a double-life as a secret agent. Co-stars Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin & Joshua Gomez.Crusoe
NBC, Fridays 8pm
Epic TV adaptation of Daniel Defoe's story about island castaway Robinson Crusoe (Philip Winchester). The adventure drama, written by British writer Stephen Gallagher (Eleventh Hour), will feature flashbacks to Crusoe's life before he was shipwrecked, a la Lost. Co-stars Sean Bean, Anna Walton and Sam Neill.NBC, Fridays 8pm
Heroes
NBC, Mondays 9pm
The third season of the superhero drama, which has a lot to prove to fans who felt cheated by the short and dull second season. The overall theme is "villains", with old and new characters deciding whether to use their powers for good or evil. New cast members include Brea Grant as a super-speedy nemesis for Hiro, and Bruce Boxleitner as a politician.NBC, Mondays 9pm
Knight Rider
NBC, Wednesdays 8pm
After a successful TV-Movie, a full season has been ordered. Justin Bruening returns behind the wheel, with the new KITT voiced by Val Kilmer. Interestingly, producers David Bartis (The OC), Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and Gary Scott Thompson (The Fast & The Furious) have said they're going to re-revamp the series after a few criticism of the TVM. Note: the above teaser includes original choice for KITT's voice, actor Will Arnett. He was replaced by Kilmer at the last-minute.NBC, Wednesdays 8pm
My Own Worst Enemy
NBC, Mondays 10pm
Jekyll & Hyde-style drama about a middle-aged efficiency expert (Christian Slater), living a humdrum life with his wife and kids, who has an alter-ego who speaks 13 languages, can run a 4-minute mile and is trained to kill. And they share a body. Yeah, sounds like someone saw Jekyll on BBC America. Co-stars Mike O'Malley and Saffron Burrows. Exec-produced by Jason Smilovic (Kidnapped)
NBC, Mondays 10pm
