Virtuality: Script Review

Tuesday, 8 July 2008
Isn't it weird to think the team behind Battlestar Galactica have finished making that show, bar the Cylon-centric TVM that's been promised? While we have nearly a year to wait 'till the rest of season 4 airs in 2009, footage actually exists of the very last episode -- and it's likely being edited right now!

Anyway, as fans await the climax of the wonderful journey the BSG team have taken us on, showrunner Ronald D. Moore's lining up his next project: a back-door pilot for Fox called Virtuality.

And now some hard details have emerged, courtesy of a very positive script review by The Futon Critic. Not only is Virtuality a mission-based sci-fi series, with the crew using virtual reality to pass the time, but their mission is also being filmed as the world's biggest reality show. I know it sounds a bit silly on the surface, but the review is a slobbering rave. They're calling it the next big sci-fi show. And the Pilot's being directed by Peter Berg (Hancock/The Kingdom). Go read it.
