There are no new HD-DVD releases this month (that I care about, anyway). Awww, poor HD-DVD. On the plus-side, there are plenty of blu-rays and DVDs -- although blu-ray is still very overpriced in the high street...
Sod's law, isn't it: just when DVDs reach maturity and start selling for £3-7 after a few months on sale, bloody hi-def comes along and their disc prices are £18-24! It's like 1998 all over again! Grrr. Anyway, my choice of DVD/BR releases this August in the UK, are:
