Today at MSN TV, I've reviewed the season 2 premiere of espionage thriller HOMELAND, which had its UK premiere on Channel 4 last night. This is a cut-down version of my review of last week's US premiere on Showtime, so perhaps only recommended to those who love to play 'spot the difference'...
Homeland became a favourite show of mine instantly, and I was one of those who loved the excruciatingly tense finale—which offered enough of a climax while keeping the door ajar for more. This premiere was sedate compared to recent episodes, but that's okay because it requires patience in order for future pay-offs to work. What matters is the show can't be boring or predictable, and with such an impressive cast that feels unlikely to happen.
