Trailer: MISFITS – series 5

It's no longer essential viewing, but E4's Misfits is still a fun show that can be relied upon to entertain you for an hour. The fifth and final series begins soon (I'm hearing late-October), and for the first time in years it doesn't come with a huge turnaround of the cast!

Rudy (Joseph Gilgun), Jess (Karla Crome), Finn (Nathan McMullen), Alex (Matt Stokoe) and Abby (Natasha O'Keeffe) are all back for the final eight hours. E4 have released a short teaser, embedded above, which doesn't give much away. I just hope this superhero comedy-drama ends on a high, with maybe a few surprises for fans--like the return of some old characters. Would it be too much to hope for an appearance from fan-favourite Nathan (Robert Sheehan), having escaped from a US prison?

One assumes creator Howard Overman remains optimistic the Misfits movie will get made (he's already written it), so I'm guessing the show will end in a fairly open-ended way. Or has Misfits had its day, because it no longer feel like a hot property? Roll on the US remake that's still languishing in development hell?
